"The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat and Beers"

From a "secret" remote location in the Cascade Range of Washington State, a group of 'thirty-something' (or so) guys meet for a weekend of fierce competition pitting:
- 10 men (5 teams) competing in
- 15 events that includes
- 32 cases of beer

"The Outdoorsmen: Blood, Sweat and Beers" (www.bloodsweatandbeersmovie.com) is a documentary of the most refreshing sort.

We participated by providing on-location audio with nine wireless systems and two boom systems. Voice-over and ADR recording was also done at our studio in Bellingham. "The Outdoorsmen" aired as a Special Event at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival and Rome International Film Festival, and, on Spike TV for Guys Superbowl Weekend. DVD released April 2006.

"In The Garden Growing"

"In the Garden Growing" a short by Brian Young of Jet City Films (www.jetcityfilms.com) won Best Narrative Short and Best of Show at the 2004 Projections Film Festival. It is in consideration for other festivals. Sound Wise participated by providing on-location audio, post-production audio editing, and production stills.

"Its All About the Kids:
2004 Whatcom County Youth Fair"

"Its All About the Kids: 2004 Whatcom County Youth Fair," a 26-minute informational documentary is complete and has been submitted to RFD-TV for consideration of airing. Shot with 2 on-location camera/audio crews, this last minute call was shot "verite style."

This truly grassroots event has been making a positive impact on kids every spring break for nearly 20 years. Learn more about this educational and fun event at: http://whatcom.wsu.edu/4-h/Events/wcyfair.htm.

A few other projects in development include:

  • "The Mask and the Book" is a 60-minute documentary in development that explores the determination of the Bella Coola/Nuxalk Band in British Columbia to save their culture from extinction during the 1920s.
  • -Untitled- a feature documentary capturing the story of an ignored Guiness World Record set in the 1980's that is now part of our cultural revolution.
