No matter how experienced, there's no substitution for carefully working through the process of editing, planning, budgeting, scheduling and successfully answering the questions:

"Why does this story need to be told?"
"What is the intended outcome for this project?"

We invest the time and energy needed to clarify the purpose, goals, strategies and expected outcomes of the project. We expect every member of the lead production team to participate so that there are no (or at least minimized) surprises. This is true whether it be a film/video project or corporate recording and presentation.

ON-LOCATION

The right equipment combined with an exceptional 'ear' is part of the secret of Sound Wise's success. We look for this natural talent or carefully learned skill in all engineers and technicians with which we work.

Our goal is to be invisible when recording on-location. To help us do that, we recommend bringing us along when selecting sites and settings. We can show you how the sound is impacted by the locations you choose.

The process of learning about and selecting equipment for each application is very important. Call for a list of the equipment we have available for recording on-location.

POST-PRODUCTION

Editing - From our Bellingham Studio, we are able to edit nearly any audio project using Digital Performer 4, LogicPro, Waves, Final Cut Pro and many other programs. In addition, a fully automated 24-channel control surface is available for sound design, from stereo up to 5.1 surround.

Voice-Over Recording - Select from a pool of voices to achieve the desired 'feel' or 'ambiance' of the project. Our studio is also able to work with your selected talent or personality and utilize a secure Internet site for optimal communication and transmittal, if needed.

ADR/Looping - Studio ADR affords the perfectly clean audio track needed for an outstanding project. Use our studio flat screen television to synch with the chosen film footage for matched clarity of your vocals.

Foley - Sound Wise is happy to provide full service sound effects. Not limited to sound clips available from a library of stock footage, Sound Wise is able to create and/or capture actual sounds for unique scenes.
